The river Drina is the biggest water flow in the south part of this commune (50 km) which representing 15% of the total length of the municipal boundary (345.9 km). It is considered as the most transparent river of Bosnia and Herzegovina. Its aesthetic adjectives of tourist attraction are: pure green color of water, high transparency (about 5m) and rich fund of fish.

The river Drina is especially suitable for a variety of sports such as: canoeing, rafting, swimming and sport fishing.

Particular ambiental and sport-relaxing values it is possible to find in lake is Perućac originated by constructing partitions in the river Drina near Perućac with a concrete dam of 461 m long and 93m high. This lake spreads along the canyon till town Višegrad, about 50 km long with sporadic stretches and extensions. The average temperature of the lake, in July, is about 22℃ at the dam, and downstream the water is somewhat colder at about 17℃.
