The climate in the area of the Srebrenica municipality is a product of geographical location, morphological features of relief as well as movements of air masses.

Based on many climatic factors in this area, it is possible to distinguish two types of climate, namely: Moderatecontainer and subplaninal type.

In the parts of municipality, with a lower altitude, such is river valleys of Drina and Križevica, and the other areas up tp 450m altitude, there is a Moderatecontainer type of climate, with mild winters and warm summers. In higer hilly and mountainous areas, there is a subplaninal type of climate. The average annual air temperature is between 7 and 11℃. The warmest month is July, with an average temperature of 21℃, while in the lower areas, the temperature is slightly higher. Winter period is characterized by a large amount of snow. In a higer mountainous area, the average annual number of days with a snow cover of 30cm, lasts about 90 days, which is convenient for winter and sport recreation.

The annual sunshine is about 1700 hours, with a minimum of 50 sunny hours in December and a maximum of 235 hours in August. Such a favorable insolation period positively affects almost all aspects of tourist movements, hiking, swimming on the lake or the river, hunting and other outdoor sports recreational activities. There are no strong winds in this area, and winds are more represented are: north with 29% and south with 25%. In higher areas, the local breeze is constantly represented, with the smell of mountain grass and centuries-old hornets, which is why it is extremely pleasing.

With medical aspect, the climate of this area has a stimulating effect on the human, strengthens the organism for the fight against infectious infectious diseases, which gives the territory of the municipality of Srebrenica an epithet of aerial spas.
